Project Overview

Team Aurelius has decided to create protective equipment that is bio-inspired from the scales seen in many different fish, reptiles, insects, and animals in nature. The scale pattern will enable a high level of mobility for the user while still maintaining the same or a greater level of protection provided by traditional protective equipment. The protective elements will be modeled in computer modeling programs and then 3D printed. These protective components will then be enhanced as needed and attached to a comfortable and flexible backing which should complete the major portions of the project.
